Uncle Nathan Barefooting.... This picture and the awesome thought of Maya's uncle skiing barefoot made Maya a temporary celebrity in Mr. McGinley's class.... Very cool stuff.... I was just as impressed as the first graders...
It's so cool, I had to put it again... (Actually an error...)
Birchler Boy Brothers in a Boat (Aren't they just GORGEOUS??? We girls are all so lucky!!)

Thanks for the Birchler Brother Boys in a Boat Title Sheri!
Last weekend was a mini Birchler reunion at Uncle NayNay's and Auntie Stephanie's house! ! On the dark, long, very rainy, scary and dreary ride Friday night I told Ryan to turn around and go back home at least 20 times... And thank goodness he didn't, because we all had such a blast!! Our highlights included S'mores, yummy meals made all around, (Auntie Stephanie knows how much we love fruit and veggies!!!) "sitting" around the fire in front of the serene beautiful lake chatting our cares away, sleeping until 8am on Saturday (haven't done that for at least 6 years), watching Uncle Nathan Surf and ski, riding in the boat, watching Uncle Jeremy's face when he froze in the water, watching Daddy surf and ski barefoot, playing with Lexie and Auntie Sheri, eating Uncle Nathan's pancakes, running with Ryan, and most importantly, having so many Birchlers together united and hooting it up under one roof.. and only having to drive 5-7 hours to do it!!! :) Such wonderful memories for us all.. It felt like a mini-vacation and it was only a weekend... Maya gets down right giddy when she talks about it....

Work Hard, Play Hard

This week we celebrated Nate's new Edward Jones office! He's been working morning, noon, and night on building his business and now he has a real office to work out of (and I get a room of our house back)!
I'm back at school and wondering what I did with all of my time this summer! My days are packed now with 25 third graders and making sure they all have a successful year.

After our busy work weeks we skied Saturday morning and again in the evening. We had great water, but the temperature was very chilly!

Have a great week:) Steph & Nate

Potty party and a Falcon party!! o

potty party!!!  Showing off the "boots" chones.
What other green shirt would you possibly choose to watch  a football game if your name is Mika??
Maya looking for Molly.
Outside the stadium,
Of course Mika found Auntie Vicki and gave her a huge hug...

Potty party, potty party. whewhewhewhew....
We had to share Mika's big accomplishment of her 100% being potty trained!! YIPEEEEE! We still have potty parties every time she goes... The big test was this past Friday at the first ever Falcon Football game where we were out in public with no bathroom  close by. She did awesome and held it in until we made the hike to the bathroom!! GO MIKA!!! Also... GO FALCONS!!!
We had a blast at the "first ever Falcon Football game" in our brand new college-like stadium. Falcon Fever EVERYWHERE I tell you... Mika loved the game so much she didn't want to leave and wanted to go back yesterday. She even wanted to watch football on T.V. instead of Dora... What are we creating here???
After a survey given to the students last week, they said "All my teachers smile.... they are all so energetic... I feel like they actually care about me".. and I finally figured out why I love my new school so much... It IS the happiest school on earth.I even heard one girl say in the hall" I love all my classes!! "  I think our principal knew what he was doing when he hired the teachers he hired. I love so much every single one I've gotten to know so far because every single one IS  always positive and loves kids. I really do skip to class. I just know once the newness wears off this will continue to be the happiest high school on earth where each individual's gifts are recognized and celebrated through mastery learning.
For now.. GO FALCONS!! AND GO MIKA!!
